A useful insight should show how it was reached.

Better Bartender connects AI-native reporting with decisions for bar operators and drinks-brand teams. This page explains the evidence standards behind our public guides and the boundaries of the current pilot.

What is live, and what is a demonstration?

The invitation-only venue pilot tests account setup, POS connection and scheduled report collection. Full dashboards are not included in participant access yet. Public map and dashboard examples, and current brand product previews, use demonstration data. They are not a live market panel.

Every worked calculation in our public guides is illustrative. It is designed to make a method inspectable, not to claim customer results, forecast accuracy or an industry benchmark.

What makes a sales comparison usable?

Define the source, venue, dates, timezone, currency, quantity unit and sales basis. Confirm reporting coverage and keep missing days distinct from known closures and zero sales. Corrected reports should replace the corresponding earlier figures in a comparison, not be added to them as extra sales.

For groups, show the reporting cohort and exclusions. For example, a new venue can increase group sales while the continuing venues are flat. Our multi-venue guide makes that distinction explicit.

When can a sale be assigned to a drinks brand?

An item name or recipe needs enough verified information to establish the brand and quantity used. Generic item labels do not establish a specific brand, and a cocktail count is not a measurement of litres without a recipe or measure. Keep unresolved attribution visible rather than quietly allocating it to known brands.

A share calculated within a reporting panel is a panel share. It should not be presented as London-wide or national market share without an appropriate coverage and estimation method. Distribution and rate of sale also need explicit denominators.

What information would brand reporting require?

Real brand reporting requires verified product mapping, suitable coverage and an agreed permission and publication policy. The current venue pilot does not grant public access to venue records or establish a general right for brands to inspect them. Our pilot data and access page describes the current handling of reports and account information.

How are the public guides produced?

They are company-published explanatory material, prepared with AI assistance, checked against the stated formulas and relevant source documentation. Sources are linked where they support a definition or give useful context. Named companies are not implied to endorse Better Bartender, and our founders are not presented as having personally reviewed each article.

The material focuses on reproducible questions and calculations. We do not substitute a generated explanation for missing costs, missing stock counts or an unverified sales figure.
