A few things worth knowing.
The practical answers, before you connect.
What is Better Bartender?
Better Bartender is a platform in development for hospitality teams to understand their drinks business. Our current venue pilot tests account signup, POS connection and automatic sales report collection.
Who can join?
This round is invitation-only. If we have invited your venue, use its individual link. Interested in a future round? Get in touch.
Will I get access to the dashboards?
Not during this reporting pilot. The final thank-you confirms your report setup, not access to the full platform. We will share next steps separately.
Which POS systems can I connect?
You can choose Square, Oracle MICROS, Lightspeed, Epos Now, Zettle, SumUp, Toast, Tevalis, Zonal or ICRTouch, or tell us about another POS. We investigate the actual provider and edition. A listed logo is not a guarantee that automatic reporting has been proven for every account or edition.
What access do I need?
Use a POS account authorised to view your venue and manage its report settings. Confirm the correct location before setup. If your account lacks permission, the journey will ask for the necessary action.
Why am I asked for a code or security check?
Your POS provider may require two-factor authentication, a CAPTCHA or another sign-in check. These remain yours to complete. Better Bartender does not bypass them.
Will I need to download reports on my phone?
No. Scheduled emails are the primary collection method. If a provider needs extra detail collected by an authorised background process, it is handled by the service rather than downloading files onto your phone.
Does setup replace my existing report recipients?
The setup process is designed to preserve existing recipients and confirm the saved settings. We do not treat an uncertain save as success.
What if I close the page or something goes wrong?
Saved progress can be resumed through your invitation using the same account. Follow the action shown, such as reopening POS sign-in or retrying. If the problem persists, contact us with your venue name and the message you see. Never email passwords or security codes.
When am I finished?
When the required details and consent are saved and the native email configuration has been independently checked, you will see the final thank-you. Report arrival is checked separately; it may occur at your provider’s next scheduled delivery.
What information is collected?
Your account and venue details, consent, setup progress and the reports your provider sends. We also record limited invitation activity and operational events to understand where the pilot succeeds or gets stuck. Read about data and access.
Can I leave the pilot?
Yes. Contact us to request that collection stops or to discuss removing your data. We will confirm what has been stopped and whether a native provider schedule or retained record still needs attention.
